The Scoil Mhuire 1st year football team began their journey playing competitively against other secondary schools. On Wednesday they took on Mercy Navan in a blitz and with hard work and determination all four of our teams won the majority of their matches. There was equal game time for all players to allow us to get a glimpse of potential with the new incoming players. The girls wore the Scoil Mhuire badge for the first time ever and we couldn’t be any prouder. The blitz was held at Trim GAA, big thanks to all that helped us organize, especially our TY sports committee girls Eve, Lucy, Chloe, Ciara, Kate, Kayden, Sophie, Blathnaid, Claragh and Emily who managed teams. As well as Emma, Ellen, Kate and Mya who were our superb referees. And a big thanks to Ms. Nugent and Ms. Nulty, who both kept us all organized and were patient throughout every match!
